The work of the KAS in the Palestinian Autonomous Territories aims at contributing to the creation of a constitutional democracy with transparent and equitable structures and a functional and resilient judicial system. Transparency of political processes, pluralism of thoughts, and the participation of the citizens and the development of a free market economy are some of the bench-marks of the work of the KAS.
An equally important goal is to foster the revitalization of a peace process between the Israelis and the Palestinians, which has lately succumbed to the excessive violence. Dialogue and common Israeli-Palestinian activities can be conducive to bridge the gap between the two parties and to lay the foundation for a peaceful solution of the conflict.
The emergence of an open and democratic society warrants equal rights for women in all aspects of life. Therefore, strengthening the role of women constitutes one of the primary goals of the work of the foundation.
